ONLINE MARKETING AND THE PERFORMANCE OF SMALLSCALE ENTERPRISES IN NIGERIA: A STUDY OF SELECTEDSME’S IN OWERRI, IMO STATE

Abstract
This study has examined online marketing and performance of small scale enterprises. The study formulated two research questions as well as hypotheses to guide the work. Data for the study were generated from the primary source, the questionnaire was the major instrument used to generate data. The technique employed is the ordinary least square regression (OLS) since it is best, linear, and unbiased known estimator. The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between facebook and customer retention also that there is a significant relationship between facebook and brand awareness of SMEs. Based on that, the study recommends that business organizations should use social media marketing to improve on the volume of their sales and to improve the business customer relationships in the area of service quality
